Jon is from the small town of Slaughter, Louisiana. He specializes in illustrating with ink, graphite, and color pencil. His work ranges from realism to cartoon/surrealism imagery, and has a tendency to mix those genres regularly. The attention to detail that he gives his work is extensive and one can appreciate, at first glance, the amount of time and consideration he puts into each piece. He pursued his artistic interest at Louisiana State University, and achieved a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art, in the school of Graphic Design.
In March 2006, Jon began truly started pursuing his passion in New Orleans. Besides displaying at French Market, he regularly attends and exhibits at about 10 other art festivals and fine art shows a year, such as Jazz Festival, Voodoo Festival, Festival International, Red River Revel, Mudbug Madness, Festival Acadiens, and Fairhope, Alabama Craft show.
The ZULU Social Aid and Pleasure club selected Jon‘s original design, through a heavily juried process for their 2011 official Mardi Gras poster. This piece will be forever a celebrated piece of New Orlean’s history.

This is a 6 minute time lapse of 22 hours of footage of a color pencil and ink drawing I completed in 2014. It’s an abstract piece consisting of a floating skull tower over a chess board, featuring scattered chess pieces throughout as well as moths and butterflys.
